Troubleshooting

SnapTik download not working?

This guide applies to snaptik.mov. First identify whether the post link, source response, or file-saving step failed.

1. The link was rejected

Use a valid HTTPS link from a platform supported by the connected parser. The form does not restrict the hostname; availability depends on whether the upstream service can resolve that link.

Copy the link again from the individual post. If the share text contains more than one URL, paste only the correct link. Do not paste account credentials, session cookies, or unrelated tracking-service URLs.

2. The post cannot be retrieved

The post may be private, deleted, restricted, require a login, or be temporarily unavailable to the connected service. A public-looking preview in one app does not guarantee a separate source service can retrieve a file.

Check the original post and retry once with a fresh link. This website does not bypass private accounts, recover removed content, or ask you to provide a password. If the underlying service is unavailable, repeated retries will not fix it.

3. The selected format is missing

A video post may not include a separate audio file. A finished video slideshow may not return its original pictures. Choose another available result type rather than expecting the tool to create files that the source did not return.

Formats are not automatically converted. A missing MP3 does not mean that an M4A file should be renamed; a photo carousel is not automatically an MP4.

4. There are too many requests or a timeout

Wait for a short interval after a rate-limit message. The browser includes a timeout so a slow request does not stay on screen indefinitely. Retry after checking the link rather than pressing the button continuously.

A timeout can occur between the website and the connected source, not just on your phone. Switching networks may help a local connection, but it does not resolve an upstream outage. No fake progress percentage is shown during processing.

5. A file opens but is not saved

A returned media URL may open in a new tab. Use the browser’s Save or Share menu and check the Downloads folder. Finding the file in Files but not in Photos is usually a library or format issue rather than a failed resolution.

Download links may expire. Request a fresh result from the original post instead of bookmarking or sharing a signed file URL. Check device storage and whether the download completed before trying again.

What to include in a support report

Include the error shown, device and browser, time of the attempt, and whether the issue happened before or after the file list appeared. A public post link can be useful if you are allowed to share it; redact any private information.

Never send passwords, authentication cookies, payment details, or signed media URLs. The contact page provides a report template you can copy even when an email channel has not yet been configured.

Sources and references

These instructions are checked against first-party platform, device, and web-format documentation.

“You can save TikTok posts to your device for offline viewing and sharing if the post creator allows others to download their content.”
